Microsoft has overtaken Apple to become the most valuable company in the world, after Apple sees its share price dip due to disappointing financial results.

Microsoft now has a market capitalisation of $2.489 trillion vs Apple’s $2.476 trillion. Microsoft’s Q3 results were strong and met analyst expectations and offered a bright financial outlook for the future.

Meanwhile, Apple’s financial results missed expectations by a fair margin, causing its shares to slip around 4%.
