A fully integrated Apple Music experience is coming to PS5. It will be the first games console to feature the music streaming service natively.

Apple Music will have a dedicated app on PS5, allowing them to stream music in the background of the game they are playing. The App will also feature recommendations of songs based on the game they are playing or subscribers can also listen to Apple Music’s curated playlists specifically for gaming.

Subscribers to Apple Music will also be able to watch music videos on their PS5 and if they go back to their game, the audio from the video will not be interrupted.

The Official PlayStation Blog says:

“Starting today, PS5 users with an Apple Music subscription can enjoy more than 90 million songs from Apple Music, tens of thousands of curated playlists, music videos in 4K, Apple Music Radio streaming today’s hits, classics and country live, and personalised playlists based on your music preferences.”

PS5 users can download the Apple Music app from the Media space on their console, and then follow the on-screen instructions to link their Apple Music account to their PS5.
