The partnership will allow Uber drivers to rent a Tesla via Hertz from November 1st (2021) in Los Angeles, San Francisco, San Diego and Washington DC, however Uber will expand this to more cities in the future.

The Tesla car model which will be on offer here is the Tesla Model 3, starting at $334 a week including insurance and maintenance. This rate will drop to $229 or lower once the program begins to expand. The aim is to have all 50,000 Teslas avaliable by 2023.

This news comes just days after Hertz announced they will be ordering 100,000 Tesla vehicles, leading to the Tesla share price heading over $1,000 and the market value of the company reaching over $1 trillion.
