Crypto exchange Coinbase has finally added support for Dogecoin, not long after it was made available on Coinbase Pro.

Dogecoin is becoming more and more mainstream with platforms like Binance, making it easier than ever to buy, convert, hold and sell Dogecoin.

The listing of Dogecoin was a popular request from customers of Coinbase and it has been rumoured to be coming for some time. It seems to be a good sign that with the listing of Dogecoin, that Coinbase may now look to expand their offering even more. In 2018, Coinbase set out the process they follow when listing new assets, designed to help accelerate the process of listings. This allows crypto developers to submit assets for listing at Coinbase which they will then evaluate. You can read the blog post from Coinbase about their crypto listing process here.

Although Dogecoin is currently valued below its peak price this year which was in May, the listing on Coinbase Pro did send the value of Dogecoin up by over 25%.
